How ReelVotes works with your theater
We run a structured process designed to reduce risk and ensure demand before a screening is scheduled. If a qualified screening underperforms, ReelVotes covers the downside.
- 1
Theater onboarding & setup
Theater partners submit venue details, dead-time windows, ticket pricing, and payout setup so each campaign can run on theater-approved terms.
- 2
Campaign launch with 3 ranked films
Fans submit a themed campaign with exactly three ranked movie choices. Campaigns open with Rights Pending and move forward only as demand proves out.
- 3
Dual-threshold demand validation
Each campaign tracks both committed backers and broader watch interest. At ~70% progress, theaters receive an automated licensing-check request.
- 4
Confirmation, screening, reconciliation
Once rights and thresholds are met, the theater confirms scheduling. After showtime, ticket proceeds are reconciled with the agreed 75/25 net-profit split.
Marketing responsibilities
- •We run campaign discovery and drive local audience participation.
- •We help push campaigns from interest to committed backing.
- •Your theater keeps normal control of local promotion and final schedule decisions.
How selections are determined
- •Each campaign includes exactly 3 ranked movie choices.
- •Rights checks trigger after demand reaches threshold milestones.
- •Studios/distributors are checked in priority order (Choice 1, 2, then 3).
- •If no title clears, campaign closes with no customer charge capture.
Control & approvals
Your theater retains full control over:
- •Which films are eligible for screening.
- •Final rights confirmation and go/no-go decisions.
- •What dates and dead-time windows screenings occur.
- •Ticket pricing and in-venue operations.
Revenue model: 75% theater / 25% ReelVotes net profit split after licensing fee, with theater keeping 100% concession revenue.
